It’s been a year of change. A change of address, a change in how we work and live, and a change in how we do business. On this note, we are proud to unveil our new-look website. The team has also changed but the one constant is our mascot, Lily the princess dog. Of course she is a mature princess now but she’s still sprightly, loves walks on the beach, walks anywhere really, and loves to be with her people – in the workshop, on the bed, curled up on the couch watching TV with us.
Our new team
I’d like to introduce the new team – there’s Tim, the face of the business and also the designer and creator of our gifts. Lily of course, and me – Colleen, content writer, administrator, social media manager and quality controller. Our daughter Jessica in Adelaide who managed our website has swapped her marketing role to pursue a different dream and I have taken over (albeit in a clumsy fashion) the tasks that she performed for us.
Hello from all of us!
A new place to live and work
We moved from Adelaide to the beautiful south coast of New South Wales. There is a new home studio which Tim loves as it’s spacious and a great space to work. The landscape is different – we’ve exchanged the city for the country (we can hear the cows in the nearby paddock now!).
Learning new skills
It’s been a steep learning curve to achieve the new look for our website. Taking product photos, working with a developer on the other side of the world, coming to grips with social media, and finding new ways to share our unique glass gifts with the world.
A new way is to have a market stall. As I write, we are preparing to go to the local monthly market for the first time. So many things to prepare, the to-do list is long! But we are excited to try something new. It will be a great experience for people to see and touch our beautiful, sparkling products. And we are looking forward to interacting in person with our customers.
We leaned very much on Jessica, our marketing guru, so now we are learning new skills in order to run our online business. There are still some tweaks to be made to the website, but we are very happy with its modern look. I hope you are too! And if you have any feedback, please send us an email.
