Isn’t it cold and wet outside? Whether you like winter or not, if there is one thing I love about the season its how green everything becomes. Over the weekend I couldn’t help but notice how much moss is everywhere in our garden and around the neighbourhood. So I thought I might get a little creative with some of our products and moss and came up with these adorable little glass block moss terrariums. These were made with a bit of gravel, potting mix and of course, moss! The little toadstools and cute-as-pie teddy bears picnic are courtesy of long time Creative Glass Gifts friend and claymation expert Brodie McCrossin.
These little terrariums are easy to make at home. Just a warning though, when searching for moss don’t pinching things from national parks or trespass on to other peoples property without permission. Also, you’ll notice on your search just how pretty moss is, so don’t go ripping up huge patches of moss and ruining what was once a lovely spot for others to enjoy. Stick to your own yard, the side of the road or other public spaces where you think people wont mind if you take a small piece or two of moss. Just use common sense.
For those not willing to traipse around out there in the cold, come into the warm Adelaide Glass Blocks showroom or email us to order one of our little terrariums for $50. These are for pick up only as they are a bit tricky to send by post. We hope you love these cute mini terrariums as much as we do!
